"Good food" and "Philadelphia" are becoming more and more synonymous, and 2023 is looking to offer even more dining options in the region.
PHILADELPHIA — Locals know Philadelphia's food scene has emerged in the national spotlight over the past decade or so, with chefs, restaurateurs, bakers, and more garnering numerous accolades, including James Beard Awards (AKA the Oscars of the food world).
And 2023 proves to be another banner year for new and exciting food and drink offerings in and around the city.
Here are some new spots in and around Philadelphia that casual diners and foodies alike should check out:

Curiosity Doughnuts — 800 Edison-Furlong Road, Doylestown
This confectionary spot is expected to open later this month.

The Stables — 160 Park Road, Chester Springs
A new beer garden and kitchen is taking over the former Levante Brewing spot.
LaScala’s Fire — Promenade at Upper Dublin, 1100-1135 Market St., Dresher
A winter opening is being eyed for a new LaScala's Fire location in Montgomery County.
Amada — 555 E. Lancaster Ave., Radnor
Jose Garces is getting ready for a spring opening of Amada on the Main Line, offering Analusian tapas dishes
Founding Fathers — 2900 Street Road, Bensalem
Bensalem is getting a new outpost from a South Philadelphia sports bar and grill later this month.
Joey Chops — 245 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern
The folks behind Stove and Tap, DePaul's Table, and more are planning to open a boutique steakhouse in February
Yankee Chipper — 827 East Pleasant Ave., Wyndmoor
This spot offering fare from across the pond, such as fish and chips and Guinness wings, ideally will open this year, though a timeframe eludes us.
Rosalie — The Shoppes at Brinton Lake, 919 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills
After building much success in Wayne, Rosalie will be offering its Italian cuisine in Glen Mills. There is no word on when the new outpost may open, but 2023 is the target.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar — 1721 Chestnut St.
This sushi chain is open now in the city and even has a robot named Kur-B that brings patrons beverages.
The Boozy Mutt — 2639 Poplar St.
Let your dog run free while you enjoy beers, cocktails, and small bites at this membership-based Fairmount spot. It will also feature a dog-friendly menu.
Bake’N Bacon — 1148 S 11th St.
Philadelphia's preeminent bacon sandwich food truck and catering is getting a brick and mortar location later this spring.
The Peabody — 1431 Cecil B. Moore Ave.
Temple University's Draught Gorse is no more, but will soon be home to The Peabody, a new sports bar.
Cloud Cups — 2311 Frankford Ave.
Get scoops of more than 90 types of artisanal gelato and sorbet at this new shop in Fishtown. Spring is being eyed for an opening timeframe.
Enswell — The Touraine, 1528 Spruce St.
All's well that end's well at Enswell. This cafe and bottle shop will offer breakfast food and drink in the morning hours, then will offer a cocktails and more in the evening.
Martorano’s Prime — Rivers Casino, 1001 N. Delaware Ave.
Right along the Delaware River sits Rivers Casino, where a new Italian-American style steakhouse is set to open in February or March.
