2 Year Old Dies After Being Shot In Head In Philadelphia

The boy has died after being taken to Einstein Hospital following a shooting Thursday afternoon in the city's Olney section.

PHILADELPHIA – A 2-year-old boy died after being shot in the head Thursday afternoon in the Philadelphia's Olney section, according to police.

The child was listed in extremely critical condition at Einstein Hospital but was pronounced dead at 2:29 p.m., police said.

The shooting, which police believe was accidental, occurred at about 2:14 p.m. on the 200 block of Godfrey Avenue in Olney.

Police said the situation is ongoing and provided few details when asked about the incident.
