2024 Philly Chanukah Parade Set For Saturday Night
See road closures and parking restrictions that will be in place for this year's Philly Chanukah Parade on Saturday night.
PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia's 2024 Chanukah Parade is taking place on Saturday, and that means road closures and parking restrictions.
The Chanukah Parade will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, featuring music and cars outfitted with giant menorahs, at 21st Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway (inner lanes). It will end at Fifth Street and Market Street, where the festival will take place and continue until 10 p.m.
The festival is a family-friendly event featuring crafts, treats, a gelt drop, music, face-painting, a fire juggler and more.

Parade Route
The parade begins at 7 p.m. The route will be closed on a rolling basis. Closures will be temporary as the parade progresses and will be reopened as the parade passes.
- Starts at 21st and Benjamin Franklin Parkway
- Eastbound on Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Arch St.
- Eastbound on Arch St. to 15th St.
- Southbound on 15th St. to S. Penn Square
- Continue around City Hall to Market St.
- Eastbound on Market St. to 5th St.
- Ends at 5th and Market St. where the festival will take place
Road Closures
The following street will be closed beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday for parade set up:
- Benjamin Franklin Parkway (inner lanes) from Eakins Oval to 21st St.
The following street will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday until 10:30 pm:
- 500 Market Street
Parking Restrictions
The following streets will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday:
- 500 Market Street
Vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated. If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked.
Additional road closures and parking restrictions may be necessary in the vicinity of the event venue, as dictated by conditions. Residents and visitors should always obey posted signs and instructions from the Philadelphia Police Department.
Public Transportation
SEPTA will be operating on their normal weekend schedule. There are no scheduled detours for the Chanukah Parade of Lights. If SEPTA detours are necessary in the vicinity of the event venue, that information and updates or changes to service will be published on SEPTA’s System Status page.
Public Safety Information
The City will provide law-enforcement support and traffic control for the event and in the surrounding vicinity.
Attendees should never leave bags or other items unattended. In the event of an emergency or to report a suspicious person, activity, or item (backpack, package, container, etc.), notify a police officer immediately or call 911. Do not try to open, move, cover or touch a suspicious item.
