PHILADELPHIA — A new, high-tech spot for ping pong is coming to Old City Philadelphia.
PingPod, located at 325 Chestnut St, is 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week massive ping pong facility that will open Friday.
The new paddle spot is perfect for casual and competitive players.

Features include instant replays, automated scoring, and a robot table for both serious and not-so serious players.
Using the PingPod app, guests register online with a credit card and reserve a table 24/7 at the street-level storefront "pods."

Entrance comes via digital access on your phone.
At tables, guests are provided with a full basket of high-quality balls and free paddles to use, if they don’t already have their own.
While at the table, guests can push a button alongside the table to get an "instant replay" by email.
PingPod will also host weekly Open Play events in addition leagues with divisions organized by skill.
Winners compete for prizes and bragging rights.
Additionally, PingPod offers coaching lessons, group classes, leagues, private events/parties, kids programs.
The new Philly location is 2,340 square feet and marks PingPod's seventh location, in addition to six others in New York and New Jersey.
Since opening, PingPod has registered more than 25,000 people to play, with new customer sign-ups clocking in at over 2,000 a month.
Over the last two years, the locations have logged more than 100,000 hours of play.
