3 Medics Hurt After Car Runs Red Light, Hits Ambulance: Reports

Three medics suffered minor injuries after the ambulance they were in flipped upon being struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — Three EMTs were hurt when an ambulance flipped after it was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred at about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Adams and Whitaker avenues, according to NBC10.

A sedan is reported to have run a red light, striking the ambulance and flipping it on its side.

Fox 29 reports three medics were taken to a hospital after suffering minor injuries, and the striking driver refused medical treatment.
