$60K In Equipment, Materials Stolen From Philly Construction Site

The thefts occurred on New Year's Eve at a construction site on the 4300 block of Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia Police said.

PHILADELPHIA — $60,000 worth of construction equipment and materials was stolen from a Philadelphia construction site on New Year's Eve, police said.

Philadelphia Police said the theft occurred at the Harkings Building Construction site, 4300 Ridge Ave.

A man was dropped off at the site at 10 p.m. that night by a white Toyota s$9edan, police said.

The man was seen on surveillance footage knocking over the site's entrance gate and walking into the site.

After a short time, the man leaves the site then about an hour later a white Chevrolet van pulls into a gas station across the street and the same man is seen getting out of the van, police said.

The man goes into the gas station then comes out before driving off with another man in the van, police said.

Minutes later, the men are seen walking onto the construction site and a short time later the site cameras are disconnected.
