7th Standing Mass Vaccination Clinic Opens In NE Philly

The city's efforts to provide coronavirus vaccinations to more residents are ramping up with the opening of a seventh mass clinic.

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Department of Public Health opened its seventh standing mass coronavirus vaccination clinic Wednesday in Northeast Philadelphia.

The new clinic opened Wednesday at the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein German American Club, 9130 Academy Road.

Officials said this clinic is part of the City’s plan to make coronavirus vaccines as accessible as possible in traditionally underserved neighborhoods.

Up to 500 people can be vaccinated at this site per day.

An additional site City Facility, 7800 Ogontz Ave., is set to open soon, as well.

Sites already open are:

  • Community Academy Charter School, 1100 E. Erie Ave.
  • Center City Vaccination Center at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 100 N. 12th St.
  • MLK Older Adult Center, 2101 Cecil B. Moore Ave.
  • University of the Sciences, Bobby Morgan Arena, 835 S. 43rd St.
  • Mastery Charter Simon Gratz High School, 1798 W. Hunting Park Ave.
  • Edward O'Malley Athletic Association, 144 Moore St.
