8 Philadelphia Roads To Be Resurfaced Starting Next Week
All work will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and drivers will find no parking signs on the affected roads, officials said.
PHILADELPHIA — Several roads in Philadelphia will be resurfaced soon, according to the Streets Department.
Work on this project will begin next week and is expected to last through the end of August.

- Chamounix Drive, from Greenland Drive to South Chamounix Drive
- South Chamounix Drive, from Chamounix Drive to Belmont Mansion Drive
- Belmont Mansion Drive, from Belmont Avenue to Chamounix Drive
- Edgley Avenue, from Belmont Avenue to the dead end
- North 49th Street, from Parkside Avenue to the dead end
- Monument Road, from Wynnewfield Avenue to North 9th Street
- Parkwyn Road, from Wynnefield Avenue to North 50th Street
- Wynnefield Avenue, from Parkwyn Road to North 50th Street
The work will be completed in three separate phases: street milling, the adjustment of manhole covers and resetting of utility boxes, and final paving.
These activities will take place in separate construction phases spanning over the course of the next several months.

Work for milling the old asphalt is anticipated to occur during the day shift and take approximately five days per corridor.
Work on adjusting manhole covers and resetting utility boxes will take place during the day shift and is anticipated to last two to three days per corridor.
Lastly, operations for the final paving are anticipated to occur during the day and take approximately three to five day per corridor, weather dependent.
All work will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The roads will remain open with temporary flagging to direct traffic.
To complete the work, residents should expect some parking restrictions. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance of each scheduled activity. Residents are urged to move their cars from the work sites when temporary “No Parking” signs are posted, so that vehicles are not towed.
In the event a car is towed, please contact the local Police District to determine its location.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling around the work areas.
