Accused Roxborough Shooters Implicated In Another Killing: Report

PHILADELPHIA — Three teenagers who are charged with murder and related crimes in connection with the deadly Roxborough shooting are now accused of a second killing that occurred the day before.

Troy Fletcher, 15, Zyhied Jones, 17, and Dayron Burney-Thorne, 16, are all implicated in the shooting death of 19-year-old Tahmir Jones on Sept. 26.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Tahmir Jones was shot the afternoon of Sept. 26 on the 600 block of North 13th Street.

Authorities said three people, who they allege are Fetcher, Zyhied Jones, and Burney-Thorne, got out of a vehicle and fired about 20 shots at Tahmir Jones.

The Inquirer reports police have not established a connection between Tahmir Jones’ killing and the Roxborough shooting.

Fletcher and Zyhied Jones are in police custody, but Burney-Thorne is still a fugitive from justice in connection with the Sept. 27 shooting outside Roxborough High school.

Killed was Nicholas Elizalde, 14, of Havertown.

Four other teenagers were hurt in the shooting.

U.S. Marshals are working with Philadelphia Police to bring Burney-Thorne into custody.

A $5000 cash reward is being offered immediately upon his arrest.

Yaaseen Bivins, 21, and Saleem Miller, 16, are also in custody in connection with the Roxborough shooting.
