Star-Studded Phillies Fan Fest Coming For MLB All-Star Week

Over 40 former Major Leaguers, including Hall of Famers and Phillies World Series champs, are set to appear at the multi-day event.

PHILADELPHIA — Dozens of former Phillies, including Baseball Hall of Famers and World Series champions, will attend a four-day fan festival when Philadelphia hosts the MLB All-Star Game.

Capital One All-Star Village takes place July 11-14 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Tickets are available for purchase.

Over 40 former ballplayers are scheduled to make appearances, including Baseball Hall of Famers Steve Carlton, Rollie Fingers, Fergie Jenkins, Jim Kaat and Fred Lynn, as well as Phillies World Series champions Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard, Jamie Moyer, Jimmy Rollins and Carlos Ruiz.

The event will feature interactive baseball attractions, autograph signings, photographs, merchandise and food from around the league. Howard and Rollins also are slated to host a live recording of “The 6-1-1” podcast, with special guests to be determined.

This year’s event is modeled after Philadelphia’s City of Neighborhoods theme, with sections portraying Center City, Fairmount, Fishtown, Old City and South Philly. MLB said the festival, produced in conjunction with BaAM Productions, includes more than 50 activities.

Those include Capital One PLAY BALL PARK, a Rookie Leagues area for young fans, batting cages, pitching tunnels, a Home Run Derby attraction, gaming kiosks, mascot visits, trophy displays, a Women in Baseball exhibit, a National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit, shopping and Ballpark Bites.

In addition to former Major Leaguers, the event will feature former softball stars — including Olympic Gold Medalist Jennie Finch — MLB Youth Ambassadors and youth baseball figures leading clinics and games at PLAY BALL PARK.

Regular admission is $35, but fans can buy $10 tickets for a limited time with the code ASVD. Eligible Capital One cardholders can claim four complimentary tickets while supplies last.

MLB said the list of attendees is subject to change and will be updated on AllStarGame.com.

The MLB All-Star Game takes place July 14 at Citizens Bank Park.
