How have they made an impact?

Meg is a Mental Performance Coach with a master’s degree in sports psychology who works with student athletes from elementary school through college age. She is a lifelong professional runner and elementary, high school, and college-level coach who founded the popular after-school running program called You Go Girls. Having trained for the Olympics herself and received awards and accolades as a runner throughout the East Coast and beyond, she brings her passion, heart, and expertise to her practice.

Athletes she has coached have gone on to gain greater confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem, as well as medals and awards of all sorts across a range of sports. She also created a yoga program for toddlers. Meg has mentored many students, both professionally and as a volunteer. In her role, she encounters and helps address many of the challenges student athletes face, including performance pressure, body image struggles, barriers to positivity, team leadership dynamics, managing loss, and overcoming life’s hurdles.

She gives to so many in a selfless manner and with great professionalism and care. Athletes who work with her learn social, emotional, psychological, and athletic skills they draw on for the rest of their lives. She was previously recognized for her excellence as an educator by WHYY and regional sports organizations.
