PHILADELPHIA — There are plenty of places to grab a slice. But one Philadelphia pizzeria stands among the best in the nation, according to new rankings.
50 Top Pizza, an Italian website, recently released its 2026 guide the the world's best pizzerias. Pizzeria Beddia in Philadelphia placed 16th in the U.S. rankings.
Located in the Fishtown neighborhood, Pizzeria Beddia specializes in pizza, small plates and wine. The small, standing room-only shop has a short list of pies, with only five on the menu.
Pizzeria Beddia is no stranger to acclaim. In 2015, Bon Appétit Magazine named it the best pizzeria in the U.S.
The pizzeria also ranked 64th on 50 Top Pizza's most-recent worldwide rankings.
50 Top Pizza's guides are based on the reports of anonymous inspectors who evaluate the best pizza restaurants around the world.
Rankings are based on the pizzeria as a whole — not just the pizza or the chef. Inspectors consider the quality and digestibility of the pizza, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, how the wait is handled, and the wine, beer and beverage program.
This year's U.S. rankings featured two Greater Philadelphia eateries: Pizzeria Beddia and Bricco Coal Fired Pizza in Haddon Township, New Jersey at No. 31.
Pizzeria Beddia is located at 1313 North Lee St.
