PHILADELPHIA — The All-American Block Party is canceled and several Fourth of July events in Philadelphia will be modified this week due to the dangerous heatwave.
Wawa Welcome America is hosting several events through July 4 in Philadelphia to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Changes to upcoming events include shortened parades and later start times.
Currently, no changes have been the One Philly: United Concert — the star-studded Fourth of July concert and fireworks celebration.
Here are the event changes that have been announced as of this writing.
THURSDAY, JULY 2

All-American Block Party: canceled.

Red, White & Blue To-Do Pomp & Parade: route shortened, event kicks off at 11 a.m. at the National Constitution Center.

Red, White, & Rosé Picnic at Independence Mall: event time pushed to 6-8 p.m.

Salute to Service - The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus with superstar Queen Latifah: start time pushed to 8 p.m. at Independence Mall.

Independence Illumination Drone Show: start time pushed to 10 p.m.
FRIDAY, JULY 3

The National Constitution Center’s 38th Annual Liberty Medal Ceremony: the National Constitution Center will now host the event indoors. Pope Loe XIV, the award recipient, is expected to deliver video remarks.

The Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade: New route. The parade starts at 5th and Chestnut streets and travels west on Chestnut to 6th Street, turns right and continues to Market Street where it turns left and makes its way down Market towards City Hall. At City Hall, it will left onto South Juniper Street and end at Chestnut and Broad streets. The event starts at noon.

Pops on Independence presented by Bank of America with Headliner Idina Menzel: start time pushed to 8 p.m. at Independence National Historic Park.
