PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia has some legendary sandwiches, and it might also have the best way to start your day.
The Daily Meal sought to name the top breakfast sandwich in each state. Pennsylvania's representative is Middle Child's corned beef, egg, and cheese.
With multiple Philly locations, Middle Child specializes in sandwiches. Their corned beef, egg, and cheese is no stranger to the spotlight, appearing on "Good Morning America" and winning The Philadelphia Inquirer's Best Breakfast Sandwich Bracket.
Breakfast sandwiches remain one of the country’s favorite morning meals, with shops across the United States putting their own spin on the basic combination of meat, cheese, eggs and bread. The Daily Meal said its picks included coffee shops, diners, bakeries, brunch restaurants and other local favorites.
Middle Child's shops are located in Center City (248 S 11th St.) and Fishtown (1232 N Front St.).
