Human Skeletal Remains Found In Woods In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Human skeletal remains were found Tuesday evening in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

An adult's remains were discovered around 7 p.m. in a wooded area near the 12000 block of Knights Road.

The person's gender and race have not been determined, and the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

Philadelphia Police and the Medical Examiner's Office are investigating and working to identify the deceased person.
