PHILADELPHIA — Reading Terminal Market's outdoor plaza will extend its run for the summer.
The Philadelphia landmark introduced the pedestrian-friendly pop-up in June, hoping to capitalize on a summer of major events in the city.
Its two-month run was set to end Aug. 2. However, The Plaza at Reading Terminal Market will now remain open on weekends through Aug. 30.
The 15,000-square-foot lines the 1100 block of Filbert Street with expanded seating, lawn games, live entertainment and small-business vendors.
Through Aug. 30, the plaza will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday to Sunday.
Reading Terminal Market's Ice Cream Festival will take place there from 12-4 p.m. Aug. 15.
