The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Greater Philadelphia Chapter, today announced Rosenberg & Parker as the Presenting Sponsor of its annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk, set for October 10, 2026 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk brings together people from all walks of life — including those with lived experience of suicide, survivors of suicide attempts, and individuals who have lost loved ones — along with their friends, families, and allies.

The walk raises funds and awareness for suicide prevention while working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Rosenberg & Parker's connection to suicide prevention is personal. Several years ago, the company's former CFO lost her son to suicide. In supporting her and staff through that loss, Rosenberg & Parker discovered how many of its own employees had been touched by suicide through the loss of a friend or family member, or through their own struggles.

"That realization changed how we think about supporting our team and the community we serve," said Yvette Johnson, Chairperson of the IDEA Committee of Rosenberg & Parker. "We support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention because we understand the importance of mental health and we believe that no one should struggle alone. Talking saves lives and participating in the Out of the Darkness Walk is our way of ensuring that no one suffers alone."

"We're incredibly grateful to Rosenberg & Parker for stepping forward as our presenting sponsor this year," said Andrea Ferrino, Chair of the AFSP Greater Philadelphia Community Walk. "Their support helps us reach more people across the region with the message of hope. And, every dollar raised through this walk goes directly toward AFSP's mission of saving lives."

Registration and additional details on the 2026 Greater Philadelphia Out of the Darkness Community Walk are available at afspwalks.donordrive.com/PhillyWalk.

Funds raised through the Out of the Darkness Walk support AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide, including research, education, advocacy, and support for those who have lost someone to suicide.
