PHILADELPHIA — A suspicious package that caused Philadelphia City Hall to evacuate Thursday did not have anything dangerous inside, police told Patch.
The building was evacuated around 11:20 a.m., when the package was found outside. A City Council meeting was interrupted.
Police investigated the package and didn't find anything suspicious inside.
Officers are continuing to search the building to ensure that everyone is safe as of this writing.
