Armed Men Target Woman In Broad Daylight Robbery: Philly Police

Two men armed with a handgun tried to rob a woman in broad daylight on Aug. 11 in Philadelphia's Graduate Hospital neighborhood.

PHILADELPHIA — Two men are being sought by Philadelphia Police after they tried to rob a woman at gunpoint in broad daylight last month.

The incident occurred at about 12:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11 on the 1900 block of Bainbridge Street.

Police said a 32-year-old woman was walking on that block when she passed two men, who are depicted above, sitting on a stoop.

One of the men stood up and pointed a handgun at her, while the other demanded her belongings, police said.

The man who accosted her pushed her back and pulled on her bag's strap, police said.

The robbery was interrupted when a vehicle passing by stopped and the two men ran off, police said.

Both men were last seen heading west on Bainbridge toward 20th street, police said.

Nothing was taken in the robbery attempt.
