Arrest Made In Deadly South Philly Stabbing, Hit-And-Run: Police
Philadelphia Police said Yel Win, 20, is charged with murder, robbery, possession of an instrument of crime, abuse of a corpse, and more.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia have arrested and charged a man in connection with a deadly stabbing and hit-and-run incident in South Philadelphia.
Yel Win, 20, of Philadelphia, turned himself in to police at 5:30 p.m. Thursday after authorities issued an alert about the incident, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 7:40 p.m. on the 1600 block of South Front Street on April 8.

Police were called to that area and found Mang Sang, 22, with a large laceration to the right side of his neck. Police found a knife on the ground with blood evidence behind a vehicle.
Sang was pronounced dead at 7:47 p.m.

Police determined Sang was stabbed during an altercation with Win.
After Sang was knocked to the ground, police said Win struck Sang with his own vehicle before leaving the area in a dark-colored car.
The incident was captured in part on surveillance footage in the area, police said.
Win is being charged with murder, robbery, possession of an instrument of crime, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse, police said.
