Arson Investigation Underway In Independence National Historic Park
A fire on Christmas Eve at Carpenters' Hall in the park is now being investigated as arson, according to the National Park Service.

PHILADELPHIA — A fire the night of Christmas Eve at Carpenters' Hall in Independence National Historical Park is being investigated as an arson.
US Park Rangers are seeking tips from the public to aid the fire investigation.
The fire was found at about 8 p.m. on Dec. 24 in the basement of Carpenters' Hall on the 300 block of Chestnut Street in Old City.

Fire crews responded and extinguished the fire.
Anyone who was in the area of the park, or in Old City in general, on the evening of Dec. 24 and saw suspicious activity is asked to contact The National Park Service Investigative Services Branch.
