PHILADELPHIA — A portion of Belmont Mansion Drive in the Fairmount Park section of Philadelphia will be closed for about two weeks, authorities said.
According to Philadelphia officials, the road will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14 through about 5 p.m. on Friday, May 24.
The affected portion of road is between Montgomey and Belmont avenues

Local traffic will be permitted to access Chamounix Drive and the Belmont Mansion parking lot via Belmont Avenue, as conditions allow.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area by using alternate routes, allow for extra driving time, follow traffic control devices, and obey posted "Temporary No Parking" signs and instructions from the Philadelphia Police Department.
