Body Of Man Who Went Missing 12 Years Ago Found In Philly: Cops

Police have found the body of Shamari Taylor, who went missing in 2006.

PHILADELPHIA – The body of Shamari Taylor, who went missing in 2006 in Philadelphia's Overbrook section, has been found, according to Philadelphia Police. Authorities found the body of Taylor, who was 26 when he went missing, in North Philadelphia. The announcement was Thursday during a news conference.

Taylor and Caren Murphy were driving in Overbrook on August 26, 2006 when they were kidnapped by a group of men.

The Murphy was later freed but Taylor was not seen again.

Kenneth Tuck was stood trial for allegedly kidnapping Taylor and the woman, but he was acquitted by a jury in 2008 during his second trial in connection with the disappearance. Tuck's first trial ended with a hung jury.

Taylor is the son of former State Rep. John Myer.
