Body Of Missing Teenage Girl Found In Philly Basement

PHILADELPHIA — The body of a woman who was missing since Sept. 27 was found Friday, Philadelphia Police said.

Police said the body is that of Erin Schweikert, 18.

Schweikert's partially decomposed body was found in a plastic container in the basement of a home on the 2100 block of Porter Street in South Philadelphia.

According to police, there were no signs of trauma on her body.

The cause and manner of death is still undetermined.

No one has been arrested in connection with her death, police said.

According to NBC10, authorities were serving a robbery warrant but also got a tip about a possible case of human trafficking related to a missing woman.

Schweikert was reported missing back in October after she was last seen on Friday, Sept. 27 on the 2300 block of South Lee Street.
