Butt-Groping Bicyclist Taken Into Custody By Philly Police

A bicycle riding man who is accused of groping several women over just two days' time is in police custody, according to police.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia have taken a man accused of groping several women into custody.

Dequan Jacobs, 35, of Philadelphia, was arrested Tuesday night on the 2500 block of Reed Street and is charged with harassment and indecent assault.

Police said the Jacobs assaulted women on the following days, times, and locations

1700 S. Broad St. Sunday at 5 a.m.
Tthe victim was walking on Broad St when the offender, riding on a bicycle, rode up behind her and grabbed her right buttocks and rode off on a green bike.

1701 S. Broad St. on Sunday at 10:25 a.m.
The victim was walking on Broad St. when the offender came from behind and grabbed her right buttocks.

1900 block of E. Passyunk Ave. on Sunday at 6:20 p.m.
The victim was walking down the street when the offender rode past her and groped her from behind in the back region under her dress. The offender fled on the bicycle.

1400 block of S. 22nd St. on Monday at 8:55 a.m.
The victim was facing southbound on the 1400 block of 22nd St. when the offender grabbed her left buttock and continued southbound.

2100 Pine St. on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
The victim was walking with a child in front of a daycare center when the offender came up from behind her and grabbed her buttocks while riding his bicycle. The offender then turned around, looked at the victim, and rode his bike north on 21st St.

2900 Walnut St. on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
The victim was walking down the 2900 block of Walnut Street when a male on a bike rode past her and grabbed her buttocks.

2300 Walnut St. on Monday
The victim was walking eastbound on 2300 Walnut St. when an unknown male passed her on a bicycle and grabbed her buttocks.

In all incidences, the man was riding a bicycle, police said.

Jacobs is being held on 10 percent of $50,000 bail, court records show.
