Sgt. Dennis Vaccaro, a beloved husband, brother, son, friend, and military veteran who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2023. Despite sustaining fatal injuries, Dennis was kept on life support for organ donation, embodying his legacy of selflessness and saving lives. Known for his positivity, outgoing nature, and adventurous spirit, Dennis had a profound impact on everyone he encountered. As a United States Army Sgt. and Combat Medic, he served for five years, including a deployment in Afghanistan, where his Army comrades admired his unique charisma, humor, and unwavering reliability. Sad Company was founded by Dennis with the message of "Celebrate the good times, and be there for your buddies during the bad." Proceeds from Sad Company merchandise and all donations will benefit the Dennis A. Vaccaro Foundation, a non-profit supporting Veterans with mental health, education, and reacclimating to civilian life. The legacy he started, brothers helping brothers, will live on.

Now in its most expansive season yet, Philly Faire features new performers and attractions, a daily costume contest, over 60 artisan vendors, and a full schedule of interactive adventures for all ages.
Philly Faire 2026 will introduce an all-ages daily costume contest, where guests in the most creative costumes will be recognized and awarded prizes. All costume styles are welcome, from historically inspired ensembles to fantastical original creations. The Best Individual Costume, Group Costume, and Child’s Costume shall be crowned.
This year, Philly Faire’s entertainment roster expands yet again with Tohm Pace, who brings a world-class blend of balance, variety juggling, and high-energy comedy to the stage.
Foxy Bard and Twig also make their Philly Faire debut, performing a fusion of Renaissance world music, Celtic traditional, and original ballads. Both are multi-instrumentalists and accomplished improvisers.
Armored Combat Worldwide is a brand-new spectacle that joins the Philly Faire revelry this season, with knights competing in full armor in a breathtaking display of martial skill.
Be a part of the action at the Proving Grounds, which offers axe throwing, archery, javelin tossing, and the fan-favorite Fight the Knight challenge. Adding to the action-packed adventure, and exclusively on Memorial Day Monday, Sean the Whipsy Rover will provide hands-on whip-cracking demonstrations and lessons, open to all ages.
Adding to the family fun, Pennsylvania-based A Zoo for You petting zoo returns, along with The Falconry Girl, who showcases the skills of her amazing birds of prey. Aria Oceansong joins the faire as a resident mermaid, performing songs and storytelling centered on the lore of the sea.
Over 60 artisan vendors and craft food purveyors will be on-site, including Revolution Bees, makers of hand-crafted mead from local honey. Traditional Renaissance faire food, such as turkey legs, will be available throughout the weekend.
The Very Inspired Shopper (VIS) Rewards program invites guests to collect rewards from participating vendors throughout each day, with prizes awarded at the closing Final Revels.
Philly Faire 2026 runs all three days of Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Fort Mifflin, 6400 Hog Island Rd. Limited seating is still available..Jen Chapin has been celebrated for writing “brilliant soulfully poetic urban folk music” by NPR and has spent more than two decades creating songs that are observant, emotionally intuitive, politically aware, and deeply human.
Raised in and around New York City in a family of artists, writers, and musicians, Jen brings a rich creative legacy to her work. Her music blends urban folk, jazz, soul, and storytelling, carried by what critics have called her extraordinary voice and the dynamic musicianship of her band.
Her career has included appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, NPR’s Mountain Stage, WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, WFUV’s Sunday Breakfast with John Platt, and the Bob Edwards Show on Sirius Satellite. She has performed on stage with Bruce Springsteen and shared bills with Aimee Mann, Bruce Hornsby, and The Neville Brothers.
Jen is also deeply connected to activism and community work through her ongoing involvement with WhyHunger, the organization founded by her late father, Harry Chapin. Her songs often reflect that same commitment to justice, family, history, and the world around us.
For this performance, Jen Chapin will be joined by GRAMMY-nominated bassist Stephan Crump and acclaimed electric guitarist Jamie Fox for a cabaret-style evening of urban folk songs titled Anything Goes, and How Did We Get Here? The two-set show weaves historically informed, jazz-inspired questions about our current moment with selections from Jen’s critically acclaimed catalog.

Opening the evening is Lucy Rellosa, winner of the 2025 Havertown Voice. At just 15 years old, Lucy has been playing music since age four and has performed locally and regionally as both a soloist and in a duet with her sister, including appearances at the Delco Gives Telethon and Haverford First Fest. Through years of studying violin, guitar, and voice, she has developed her skills as a singer-songwriter and composes her own original music.

Join The Savoy Company in celebrating our 125th anniversary year with Gilbert &amp; Sullivan’s uplifting operetta,&nbsp;The Gondoliers!&nbsp;in the Open Air Theatre at Longwood Gardens. Set in Venice and the fictional kingdom of Barataria, the plot centers on two gondoliers, Marco and Giuseppe, who discover that one of them is the rightful king but cannot determine which. They agree to rule jointly until the true monarch can be identified, allowing Gilbert to satirize monarchy, aristocracy, and British political institutions. The show is especially noted for its unusually warm tone and emphasis on equality, reflecting contemporary late-Victorian debates about class and governance.
Through its witty dialogue, lively ensemble numbers, and playful mockery of aristocracy and political systems, the operetta celebrates equality while poking fun at rigid class distinctions and the pretensions of monarchy.
Premiered in 1889, The Gondoliers is the twelfth collaboration between librettist W.S. Gilbert and composer Arthur Sullivan. The show ran for 554 performances, making it one of the duo’s most successful later works.
Introducing Stage Director Grant Mech and Choreographer Rebecca Malcolm-Naib, whose inventive vision brings The Gondoliers to life in a masterful comedy that sparkles under the outstanding baton of Music Director Peter Hilliard and a superb professional orchestra.
