The Print Center

America Today highlights the power of print as a medium for expressing political ideals and urgent societal concerns. The exhibition brings together contemporary artworks from six community-centered, mission-based printshops across the US to consider the breadth of democracy and the American experience in the context of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The workshops include Coronado Printstudio, Austin, TX; Self Help Graphics and Art, Los Angeles, CA; EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, New York, NY; Crow's Shadow Institute for the Arts, Pendleton, OR; Brandywine Workshop and Archives, Philadelphia; and Women's Studio Workshop, Rosendale, NY. The exhibition will be accompanied by curator-led tours, an opening reception with gallery talks, and public programs. This exhibition will be available through July 25th.

Yale School Performing Arts Center

Y.A.L.E. School, a private special education school serving students with disabilities ages 3-21, will host the sixth annual Tri-State Ability Art Show: Metropolis on April 24 &amp; 25 at its Performing Arts Center in Cherry Hill. The Art Show will showcase artwork by students with disabilities in grades K-12 and ages 18-21 from across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Highlighting student talents, the exhibit emphasizes the significance of creative expression, acceptance and inclusion.
Awards will be announced at the Opening Reception on Friday, April 24 from 6-9 p.m., which will also feature live music from young musicians and craft activities for children of all ages. The Gallery, along with a Craft Fair, will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There is no cost to attend, and all are invited.

On&nbsp;Saturday, April 25, the <a href="https://bcan.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network</a> (BCAN) is hosting its annual&nbsp;<a href="https://secure2.convio.net/bcani/site/TR?fr_id=2152&amp;pg=entry#:~:text=The%202026%20Walk%20to%20End%20Bladder%20Cancer,*%20**Participants**%20Thousands%20from%20coast%20to%20coast" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Walk to End Bladder Cancer in Philadelphia</a>&nbsp;kicking off Bladder Cancer Awareness Month (May) and raising awareness of this difficult-to-treat disease. This family-friendly, one-mile walk kicks off at Franklin Square – and will bring together patients, survivors, caregivers, and community members in support of those impacted. Bladder cancer is one of the most common, yet often overlooked, cancers. Participation is free, and locals are encouraged to register, form teams, and donate to support lifesaving work.

Bring your family and friends to the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 7 p.m. rain or shine. This free, family-friendly event will be held at Fireman’s Field Park and inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink at 250 South Nursery Avenue.

Enjoy a full day of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with an art exhibit, games, chalk art, and a variety of interactive activities. Browse offerings from local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, food, beverages, and more. There will be fun for all ages, including face painting, glitter tattoos, sidewalk chalk art, and t-shirt or tote bag decorating. Local non-profits will also be on-site sharing information and resources. Special activities will highlight and celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. 
Inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink—transformed into the Art Hall—you’ll find more than 30 works of art, live performances, art demonstrations, and hands-on activities including quilt square decorating and an Instrument Petting Zoo.
