This event will introduce working students to education, workforce training, and employment opportunities available through the university, including the following departments:

  • Lenfest Center for Community Workforce Partnerships (lead organizer): Education and workforce programs focused on academic enrichment, career exploration, college preparation, occupational skills training leading to certifications, and assistance securing paid internships and sustainable employment.
  • College of Education and Human Development: Academic enrichment programs for K-12 students and families, particularly helpful for working parents.
  • Barnett College of Public Health: Health and wellness resources
  • Community Gateway: Navigators and Community Ambassadors connect residents to Temple’s 300+ community programs and provide ongoing guidance towards personal and professional goals.
  • Digital Access Center: Digital literacy training, cybersecurity workshops, free refurbished computers for the community, and IT internship opportunities.
  • Pan African Studies Community Education Program: Low-cost personal enrichment and professional development courses facilitated by Temple faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Small Business Development Center: No-cost business services, solutions, and consulting for local entrepreneurs and small business owners.
  • University College: Non-credit programs leading to industry credentials in healthcare, real estate, non-profit management, and tech, as well as professional development courses to build skills for employment, career advancement, and career change.
