The evening kicks off with an “A League of Their Own"-inspired viewing party; guests are encouraged to wear their favorite league gear for a chance to win prizes! Then, the historic league debut will be on the screens as Philly’s own Moné Davis takes the field with the Los Angeles Queens vs New York Heights. After the game, there will be a DJ set and a ladies' dance party. Celebrate with a full day of baseball-themed activations, complete with a ballpark-themed menu and drink specials!

The Junior League of Philadelphia (JLP) is kicking off recruitment for its 2026–2027 league year with a series of information sessions throughout the summer. Prospective members will have the opportunity to meet current members, learn about the League's mission of advancing women's leadership through volunteer action, collaboration, and community impact, and discover how they can make a meaningful difference across the Greater Philadelphia region. As part of the recruitment events, the JLP is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and will be collecting new toys, games, and craft supplies to benefit local youth.

The APS welcomes the public to a hybrid keynote presentation by Angelina Jumper for the 9th Annual 2026 Digital Knowledge Workshop.
As Cultural Resources Supervisor for the Junaluska Museum, Angelina Jumper has helped guide the museum’s transition from the loss of a physical building to the creation of a community-centered digital archive. Following the loss of the museum facility, Jumper and her team developed the Junaluska Museum’s first substantial digital footprint through large-scale digitization, community-based archiving, and the implementation of a tribal Digital Asset Management system. This work includes preserving photographs, oral histories, documents, and 3D scans of culturally significant objects while building tribal capacity for digital stewardship and advancing archival sovereignty. Grounded in Cherokee cultural values and museum ethics, this keynote reflects on the importance of keeping cultural belongings, stories, and memory connected to families and community life. Rather than viewing archives as static spaces where “old things” are stored, this presentation reimagines digital stewardship as a living practice that sustains Cherokee knowledge, relationships, memory, and continuance across generations.
The keynote will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. ET in Benjamin Franklin Hall and will also be livestreamed. This event is free and open to the public but registration is required.

This summer, Shakespeare in Clark Park returns for its 21st season with a bold new production of Hamlet, created in collaboration with Revolution Shakespeare.
What if everyone was Hamlet?
In this inventive reimagining of Shakespeare's iconic tragedy, four acclaimed Philadelphia actors share the title role, constantly transforming between Hamlet and the people who shape his world. Alongside them, a community ensemble gives voice to Hamlet's inner thoughts, creating a playful, fast-paced, and deeply human exploration of grief, betrayal, and the search for truth.
Featuring Barrymore Award nominees Cassandra Alexander, Brittany Onukwugha, Minou Pourshariati, and Dawn McCall, this production blends professional artists and community performers in a theatrical experience unlike any other.
Named Metro Philadelphia's Best Local Theatre Company and recently honored with a Barrymore Award for Outstanding Outdoor Production, Shakespeare in Clark Park continues its mission of making world-class theatre free and accessible to everyone.

Kensington Health Sciences Academy

Rock to the Future invites families and community members to celebrate the achievements and talents of its students at the Kensington Summer Showcase on Thursday, July 30th from 12:45- 2PM.

After weeks of rehearsing and collaborating in bands, students will take the stage to close out the 2026 Summer Term with exciting live performances.

Families are encouraged to join the fun by dressing in beach-themed attire alongside their students. The showcase will feature student band performances, awards, and food as the community celebrates the creativity, hard work, and connections students have built throughout the summer.

This free, family-friendly event will take place at Kensington Health Sciences Academy, and all are welcome to attend. Students will be dismissed at the conclusion of the showcase.
