Car Crash Closes Forbidden Drive Bridge In Wissahickon Park

PHILADELPHIA — The bridge connecting Forbidden Drive to the Wissahickon Bike Trail is closed due to a vehicle crash.

Parks and Recreation officials said the trail is closed, meaning bicyclists and pedestrians will not be able to use the trail to connect from Forbidden Drive to Ridge Avenue.

Crews are working to assess the damage and the trail will remain closed until further notice.

Parks and Recreation officials will share recommended detours for park goers and a time frame for reopening at a later date.
