Cash Tolls Coming Back To 4 Philly-To-Jersey Bridges Next Week

The Delaware River Port Authority said the bridges will feature cash toll lanes again after suspending all cash toll payments on March 26.

PHILADELPHIA — Cash tolls are coming back to four bridges connecting Philadelphia and South Jersey next week, according to the Delaware River Port Authority.

The port authorities said it will reopen cash toll lanes at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 11.

Cash will be accepted on the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross, and Commodore Barry bridges.

The reopening of cash lanes follows a temporary all electronic, cash-less tolling that started on March 26 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Port authority employees will be wearing face coverings, in addition to new protective plastic shields in toll booth windows.

Drivers are encouraged to wear a face covering as they travel through a cash toll lane to protect themselves and port authority workers.
