Chris Brown To Play Wells Fargo Center This Summer

The R&B star, who assaulted fellow star and then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, is coming to Philadelphia for a concert this summer.

PHILADELPHIA — Chris Brown, the R&B star who was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna 15 years ago, is set to play a concert in Philadelphia this summer.

Brown's new tour, "The 11:11 Tour," will feature 26 stops, including one in Philadelphia.

The tour will hit the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, June 29.

A special guest will soon be announced for the Philadelphia concert at a later date.

Tickets will be available starting with an artist presale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday with additional presales throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale starting on Monday, March 11 at 10 a.m. online here.

According to organizers, The 11:11 Tour celebrates the release of Brown’s 11th studio album of the same name, which secured a No. 1 spot on the Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.

The track "Summer Too Hot" earned a nomination at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Brown in 2009 pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge that was filed after he attacked Rihanna earlier that year. He was sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling and six months of community service.
