Authorities said Tunnell tried to steal items from the store at about 10:45 a.m. Monday, but was stopped by employees and turned over the merchandise. About 15 minutes later, authorities said he came back to the store and assaulted two security guards with a knife.
Harrison was stabbed once in the neck and later pronounced deceased at Jefferson Hospital. His colleague is in stable condition and recovering from wounds to his face and arm.

"Eric was a hardworking young man," his mother Dawn Fobbs wrote on a GoFundMe page set up to support their family in their time of mourning.
Fobbs described her son as a "kind, giving, and loyal" man who "always smiled, was a man of few words, was an observer, loved to make jokes and laugh and enjoyed a small circle of true friends."
Funds raised by the campaign will go toward Fobbs and Harrison's father Eric Coates to settle final expenses.
As of 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, more than $47,100 has been raised for the family.
