Cow Escapes Old City Nativity Scene Twice Thursday Morning
Stormy the cow got out of a nativity scene twice Thursday morning. "No, we can't believe we're tweeting this either," police said.
PHILADELPHIA – A cow got loose from a nativity scene in Old City Philadelphia Thursday morning and Philadelphia police said they are just as surprised about the incident as the public.
The cow, named Stormy, escaped her nativity scene at the Old First Reformed United Church of Christ at 4th and Race streets in Old City at about 2 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14.
Police got the first report of a loose cow at about 2:16 a.m.

Authorities learned the cow was on 2nd and Market. They then found Stormy at the southbound Interstate 95 ramp at Callowhill Street, police aid.
That's when police said "madcap antics" ensued as animal control crews were called in to help Philadelphia and Pennsylvania State police corral the errant cow.

By about 4:30 a.m., the Stormy was back in her nativity scene thanks to police and animal control efforts, but that didn't last long, police said.
Police said then at about 6:30 a.m. Stormy was reported to be in the parking garage at 4th and Market streets.
She was corralled and safely returned back to the nativity scene by about 7 a.m.
Police are investigating how Stormy got out of her pen.
