Dirt Biker Threw Brick At Philly Police Vehicle Windshield: Cops

A marked police vehicle was kicked repeatedly and had its windshield broken with brick before the group fled the area, police said.​

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are asking for help identifying the person who threw various items at a police vehicle, breaking its windshield.

The incident occurred at about 8:05 Sunday at 600 N. Delaware Ave.

According to police, officers were called to Delaware Avenue and Spring Garden Street for a report of a large group of dirt bikes and ATVs near the Lukoil gas station.

One of the riders crashed his dirt bike by the gas pumps and immediately fled on foot, police said.

The 2011 Honda dirt bike left behind had been reported stolen out of New Jersey.

As officers tried to secure the stolen dirt bike, the crowd began to circle the officers while throwing bricks, bottles and other objects at them, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a light-complected male wearing a black balaclava face mask, red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, riding a red and white dirt bike.
