Service On SEPTA's Paoli-Thorndale, Cynwyd Lines Suspended

The downed wires began affecting service on the two Regional Rail lines at about 12:30 p.m. As of 3:30 p.m., the lines are still suspended.

PHILADELPHIA — SEPTA's Paoli-Thorndale and Cynwyd lines are shut down in both directions as commuter plan their trips home Monday.

At about 12:30 p.m., SEPTA said service on the lines is suspended in both directions due to downed wires outside Gray 30th Street Station.

SEPTA at about 3:40 p.m. said its crews, as well as Amtrak crews, have cleared the affected area, and repairs are underway.

Despite that, service will remain suspended until repairs have been completed.

One rider said on social media he and fellow riders have been stuck for three-and-half hours.
