Drive-By Shooting In Germantown Injures 2 Tuesday Morning: Police
A man and woman were walking on Collom Street when a car drove up, rolled down the windows, and opened fire. They are in stable condition.
PHILADELPHIA – Two people are recovering from injuries suffered in a double shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in Germantown and now Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for the gunmen.
Police said two people, a 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, are at Einstein Medical Center in stable condition recovering from the 1:35 a.m. shooting.
The victims were walking on the unit block of Collom Street north from Germantown Avenue at about 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2 when a tan Buick sedan – believed to be a late 1990s or 2000s Le Sabre model – drove up and slowed to a stop, police said.

That's when police said the rear windows were lowered, handguns appeared, and the gunmen began firing on the victims.
The male was hit in the chest and neck while the female was hit in the leg, police said.

After the shooting, the Buick fled north on Germantown Avenue and headed west passing through the parking lot of a nearby Dollar General store, according to police.
Authorities determined 9mm and .32 caliber handguns were used in the shooting.
