Eagles Getting Lions Wide Receiver Golden Tate
The Detroit Lions wide receiver will be looking for passes from Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz soon.

PHILADELPHIA – A new weapon has been added to the Philadelphia Eagles offensive arsenal, as Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate is joining the team.
Tate – aka "Showtime" – and the Eagles both tweeted the news Tuesday.
In order to get Tate, who started his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010 before heading to the Lions in 2014, the Birds gave up their third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to Detroit.

With 44 catches under his belt so far this season, the 30-year-old Tate's got 517 yards and three touchdowns to boast about. Over his pro football career, Tate has 581 receptions for 6,936 yards and 37 touchdowns in 129 career regular-season games.
Tate is also a Super Bowl champion, having been a member of the 2013 Super Bowl-winning Seahawks team.

The Eagles stand at a 4-4 record, putting them in second place int he NFC East.
Fans and the team are hoping to recreate the 2017 season, in which the Eagles had a meteoric, underdog rise to become Super Bowl champions.
