Eagles Players' Holiday Charity Album Breaks Into Billboard Charts

PHILADELPHIA — Well, the Eagles offensive line trio of Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata have another hit album under their belts, as "A Philly Special Christmas Special" has made its way onto several Billboard charts.

The new holiday benefit album, from which proceeds go to Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, hit the following Billboard charts, per the publication:

• No. 3 on Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales
• No. 3 on Vinyl Albums (nearly 17,500 sold on vinyl)
• No. 4 on Independent Albums and No. 8 on Top Holiday Albums
• No. 25 on the Billboard 200

Additionally, a special double release vinyl featuring this year's album and last year's, "A Philly Special Christmas," made it on these charts:

• No. 6 on Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales
• No. 2 on Vinyl Albums
• No. 8 on Independent Albums
• No. 17 on Top Holiday Albums
• No. 55 on the Billboard 200

Recorded during the NFL off season and comprised of ten holiday classics and an original tune by Jason Kelce, "Santa’s Night," a limited-edition LP will be released on red vinyl, a double disc of A Philly Special Christmas Special and 2022’s A Philly Special Christmas will be released on limited edition gold vinyl in addition to the album being released digitally and available on all streaming services.

Produced by Charlie Hall and engineered by Nick Krill, the new album features Patti Labelle, Amos Lee, The Hooters’ Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman, DMHotep (Sun Ra Arkestra), Kevin Hanson (The Fractals, Huffamoose), Luke Carlos O’Reilly, Waxahatchee, members of The War on Drugs, Dr. Dog, mewithoutYou, and The Silver Ages Choir amongst others to truly make this a Philly special.

Last year's "A Philly Special Christmas" was released on Dec. 23, 2022, digitally and its limited pressing on vinyl sold out immediately. The record reached four top ten spots on various Billboard Music Charts, including No. 1 on the Compilation Albums Chart. A Philly Special Christmas donated over $1.25M to local charities including Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and fulfilled the wish lists of Philadelphia School District teachers via Donors Choose.
