Eagles Release Daryl Worley After Sunday Arrest
Worley, who came to the Eagles via a trade deal, is facing firearm and resisting arrest-related charges in the Sunday incident.

PHILADELPHIA – Just hours after Daryl Worley, the Philadelphia Eagles new cornerback, was arrested in South Philadelphia Sunday morning the team released him.
The team tweeted the news Sunday evening following the incident, which occurred early Sunday, April 15 at Pattison Avenue and Broad Street in South Philadelphia near the team's complex.
Worley, of Swedesboro, New Jersey, was allegedly found asleep in his vehicle.

The 23-year-old North Philadelphia native and Penn Charter alumni was arrested around 6 a.m. Sunday morning after allegedly becoming "combative" with police.
Worley was zapped by a stun gun during the incident, which happened near the team's Novacare complex. A gun was also reportedly found at the scene.

Court records show he's been charged with two fire-arm related crimes, possession of an instrument of crime, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Additionally, Worley was charged with DUI, according to court documents.
He was released from custody Sunday after posting 10 percent of $25,000 bail, court records show.
The Eagles traded wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers last month in exchange for Worley.
He is set to appear for his preliminary hearing on May 1, according to court documents.
