Early Dismissal For 100 Philly Schools Tuesday, Wednesday Due To Heat

PHILADELPHIA — The School District of Philadelphia is dismissing students at 100 schools early Tuesday and Wednesday due to excessive heat.

According to the district, the 100 schools will be let out three hours early Tuesday and Wednesday due to the forecast.

All after-school and sports activities taking place at the 100 impacted schools will be canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The district will continue to monitor heat conditions and will provide additional updates as necessary.

All other schools and the District’s administrative offices will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
