Earn an Early Childhood Education Degree in North Philadelphia

Harcum College, in partnership with Grace-Trinity, is offering associate degree programs at extension campuses across Philadelphia.

Philadelphia, PA (July 5, 2018) - Harcum College of Bryn Mawr, PA, is now recruiting for the Fall 2018 class in Early Childhood Education (ECE) at its Grace-Trinity site located at 5200 Oxford Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. Harcum, which has a partnership site with Grace Neighborhood Development Corporation, offers an accelerated associate degree program.

Classes are held two evenings a week between 5:30 – 9:30 pm. In one year, a student registered at this Harcum Partnership Site can complete up to 8 courses. Harcum’s program in Early Childhood Education is recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Applicants must have a high school diploma or a state-approved high school equivalency diploma. Harcum also accepts transfer students who already have taken college-level courses at another institution.

Students are eligible for financial aid as well as Harcum community-based scholarships. No SAT tests are required, but prior to admission, students have to complete a placement test in Math and English. If needed, they will be offered college preparation courses in these subjects while they take their courses.

The Grace-Trinity Partnership Site is conveniently located within walking distance of the Frankford Transportation Center and near the SEPTA bus stops for R, 24, and 8. The small class size makes it possible for the instructors to personally interact with every student. A Site Coordinator will assist, advise, and guide the student from the time of application until graduation.
