Fallen Philadelphia Firefighter's Funeral Details Set

Firefighter Jeffrey DiDomenico died of a work-related illness earlier this month. He spent nearly 20 years serving the fire department.

PHILADELPHIA — A longtime Philadelphia Fire Department firefighter died recently and will be laid to rest Friday.

Firefighter Jeffrey DiDomenico, 50, of Hatboro, died on Dec. 17 due to a work-related illness, according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.

DiDomenico spent 18 years with the department and was last assigned to Engine 45 in Strawberry Mansion.

Viewing hours are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Road in Philadelphia.

The funeral procession steps off at 8:15 a.m. Friday from Archbishop Ryan High School’s south parking lot, 11201 Academy Road, and travels to Givnish.

Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish with the service to follow the viewing.

Interment will immediately follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley.
