Giant Tree Toppled By Wind In Rittenhouse Square

Luckily the weather is keeping people from hanging out in the park and no one was hurt when the tree fell.

PHILADELPHIA – A large tree was toppled by strong winds in Rittenhouse Square late Friday morning as a major nor'easter slams the Philadelphia region.

Reddit user User_Name13 shared photos of the tree to the Philadelphia subreddit Friday.

Winds and wet soil can often lead to trees being uprooted and toppling over.

The user said no one was injured as the park was empty with such inclement weather plaguing the area.
