Gritty, Eagles Players Live Tweet Super Bowl Boredom
Put it this way: Last year was way more exciting.
PHILADELPHIA — Well, Super Bowl LIII was a lot less exciting than last year's game, as the Patriots and Rams played a mostly-defensive game that ended in a paltry 13-3 win for the Patriots, earning them their sixth Lombardi Trophy.
With a lackluster game going on, Philly's favorite mascot Gritty, as well as some Eagles players themselves, took to Twitter to show just how bored they were by the game.
A combination of lots of punting, weaker-than usual commercials, and a widely panned half-time show led to the game's plodding pace.
