Police reported four instances of identity theft and one instance of fraud over the past week. See details on those crimes and more here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Police have shared details on crimes that occurred in the township over the past week.

These incidents took place between Feb. 7 and Feb. 10.

The blotter also features arrests made and the number of citations issued.

  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 7 at 8:39 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $200 worth of merchandise.
  • Identity Theft at the 600 block of Lawson Avenue on Feb. 9 at 2:45 p.m. – The victim reported that someone used his identity to apply for financial aid at a college.
  • Identity Theft at the 800 block of Ardmore Avenue on Feb. 9 at 3:55 p.m. – The victim reported that someone used her identity to open a credit card account.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Kathmere Road on Feb. 9 at 8:39 a.m. – The victim reported that someone took out a loan in the amount of $12,136 using his identity.
  • Identity Theft at the 1700 block of Robinson Avenue on Feb. 9 at 12:04 p.m. – The victim reported that a person known to her opened two credit cards using her identity.
  • Fraud at the 1700 block of West Chester Pike on Feb. 9 at 12:24 p.m. – The victim received a phone call from a person claiming to be from McAfee anti-virus regarding her subscription. The caller gained access to her computer, charged her $199.99, and requested photos of her driver's license. The victim recognized the scam and ceased communication.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. – 42-year-old female, 5200 block of Akron Street, Philadelphia, and 43-year-old male, 2000 block of Tioga Street, Philadelphia, were cited for the retail theft of $95.75 worth of merchandise.
  • Attempted Theft at the 1700 block of Hawthorne Avenue on Feb. 10 at 11:01 p.m. – The victim discovered his vehicle hood open and door unlocked. It does not appear that anything was stolen.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 10 at 3:37 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole over $1,300 worth of various health and beauty items.

  • 41-year-old male, 300 block of S. Broad Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 4 at 2:19 p.m.
  • 30-year-old male, 800 block of Church Lane, Yeadon. Charges: Firearm not to be carried without a license, driving with a suspended driver's license, and suspended registration. Location: 500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 4 at 11:18 a.m.
  • 42-year-old male, unit block of Royal Street, York. Charges: Warrant. Location: West Chester Pike and Gilmore Road. Date: Feb. 7 at 2:24 a.m.
  • 75-year-old female, 1300 block of Annabella Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Turning movements and required signals, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 7 at 8:35 p.m.
  • 53-year-old male, 800 block of Windermere Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 7 at 8:35 p.m.
  • 54-year-old female, unit block of Nancy Drive, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: 1600 block of Darby Road. Date: Feb. 9 at 7:48 p.m.
  • 55-year-old male, unit block of Nancy Drive, Havertown. Charges: DUI, accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance. Location: Golf Road and Ridgeway Road. Date: Feb. 9 at 11:39 p.m.
