'Hamilton' Coming To Philly In 2019, Ticket Packages Now On Sale

If you want to get tickets to see the smash Broadway hit "Hamilton" at the Kimmel Center, you're going to have to wait in a digital line.

PHILADELPHIA – It's the city where it happened and now you can see the story of how it happened here, as the Broadway mega hit "Hamilton" is coming to the Kimmel Center and ticket packages are on sale.

While the shows don't begin until 2019, you can get ticket packages now. Well, not necessarily now: you'll have to wait in a digital line that is more than 3,000 people long with waits of more than an hour as of 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Ticket packages went on sale at 9 a.m. Friday and range from $281 to $944.

The packages get you access to the Kimmel Center's 2018-2019 Broadway series, which will include "Hamilton" tickets as well as tickets to shows including "The Sound Of Music," "Fiddler on the Roof," "The Book of Mormon," and much more. The touring show will spend take a pause in Philly, where it will hold performances on the Forrest Theatre stage Aug. 27 through Nov. 17, 2019.

You can get in the digital line here.

Individual tickets will be available in the future, but its unclear when that will be.

"Hamilton," created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is a hip-hop musical about the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The show, cast, and Miranda himself won several Tony awards for the breakout hit.
