High Heat Closing Philly Schools Early Wednesday
With high temperatures in the week's forecast, the School District of Philadelphia will dismiss students early Wednesday.

PHILADELPHIA – All School District of Philadelphia schools will dismiss their students early on Wednesday due to high heat in the forecast.
The district said students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.
High heat led to early student dismissal on Tuesday, as well.

All after-school activities, including all athletic programs and professional development sessions, scheduled for Wednesday are canceled.

School-based employees are expected to work their normal work day and Administrative Offices will operate on regular business hours.
Updated information will also be posted on the District's Information Hotline at 215-400-INFO (4636).
