Historic Center City Gas Station Moved To Fairmount Park: Reports
The Gulf Gas Station at 20th and Arch streets opened in 1930. Overnight Wednesday to Thursday, it was picked up and moved to Fairmount Park.

PHILADELPHIA — A nearly 100-year-old Center City gas station was uprooted and moved to a new location overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
The Gulf Gas Station at 20th and Arch streets was quite literally lifted off the ground and moved to Fairmount Park, according to NBC10.
Crews overnight lifted, hauled, and settled the historic gas station, which opened in 1930, near Sedgley Porter House in the park, Action News reports.

According to Fox 29, the building will be used by The Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition for meetings and office space.
