I-76 East Lane Closing Overnight In Philadelphia Next Week: PennDOT

The work is part of a $36.8 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the on-and-off ramps, and bridges.

PHILADELPHIA — PennDOT said overnight paving work on Interstate 76 will force a lane closure next week.

According to PennDOT, the work will begin Monday and last until May 10.

As part of the work, crews will close a lane on eastbound Interstate 76.

The closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

The affected portion of road is between the Belmont Avenue and Montgomery Drive interchanges.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur.
